Artist:
Nicoletta Ceccoli is born in 1973 in the tiny republic of San Marino (Italy), where she currently resides . His work is seven times exposed to the International Book Fair Youth Bologna. In 2001, she was awarded the prestigious Prix Andersen which crowns the best cartoonist of the year (Italy).
In 2006 she received the Silver Medal of The Society of IIlustrators (New York).
It is mainly published in Italy, USA, UK, China.
In France, Actes Sud appealed his talent to make some covers for his novels, including that of " Preacher" of Läckberg Camilla, the new queen of Swedish thriller.
Since 2006, his paintings, which are part of the movement of Pop Surrealism, are regularly exposed in larger galleries (Berlin, London, Los Angeles, Manchester, New York, Rome, or Seattle Toronto).
The book:
" Beautiful Nightmares" is his first book published in France, and the first artbook dedicated to him the world.
In five chapters, it includes almost all of his paintings " Babes in Toyland" , Beautiful Nightmares , Girls Water , Forbidden Fruit , Weird and Wonderful , many evocative titles, dreamlike, poetic universe as much fun, wonderful and monstrous, worlds of dreams and nightmares.
